Our Field

Directions to Our Flying Field

Our flying field features a well-maintained grass runway that is cut short for smooth takeoffs and landings. The runway is approximately 600 feet long and 200 feet wide, providing plenty of room for pilots to maneuver safely.

The field also includes a restroom, running water, electricity, worktables, and a Blackstone grill for cooking burgers, hot dogs, and other field-day favorites.

Main Runway

Entering the Field

Drive up the main driveway until you see a white trailer. Pull onto the grass and continue to the left of the trailer. Follow the grass driveway straight ahead until you reach the runway.

Crossing the Runway

When you reach the runway, come to a complete stop and look carefully in both directions. This is an active runway, and aircraft may be taking off, landing, or taxiing at any time.

Once you are certain the runway is clear, drive straight across. After crossing the runway, turn right. You will see the club’s worktables and parking area.

You have arrived at the York Area Radio Control Club flying field!
